In preparation for the new academic session which begins today in Ogun State, the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has appointed 26 principals, 67 vice principals and seven zonal secretaries.
Chairman of the commission Ms. Olubukunola Onabanjo said the appointments are to ensure effective administration in the new academic year.
Speaking at the induction programme organised for them at the weekend, Onabanjo charged the appointees to be resourceful, dynamic and innovative.
The TESCOM boss advised the inductees to establish a good working relationship with the vice principals and the school community, warning them not to engage in any form of illegality.
She urged the vice principals to be conversant with circulars issued by the commission and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology on issues relating to school administration curriculum and financial transactions. Earlier, the Full-time Commissioner 1 of the commission Otunba Timothy Adebowale said the appointments were based on merit.
