Reasons Not To Skip Breakfast If You Want To Lose Weight

1. The very act of eating breakfast can speed up your metabolism, which is critical to weight loss. If you eat dinner around 7pm and wait until lunch time to eat again, as many as 17 hours might have passed. Apart from weight, breakfast is therefore critical to your overall health and well-being.

2. Skipping breakfast tends to make you overeat at lunch. Research has shown that the vast majority of successful dieters do eat breakfast. Breakfast can also aid your concentration, improves ones’ focus, helping him/her at work or school.

3. Choose a high fiber meal, such as cereal, high protein meal, such as scrambled eggs and ham. Your breakfast should contain plenty of vitamins and minerals to help your body remain healthy throughout the day

4. It is critical to remain positive when trying to lose weight, this is very important.. Breakfast sets the pattern for the day, because if you make healthy decisions at breakfast, you are more likely to make the right decision regarding the other meals of the day.

5. However, one thing you must avoid at breakfast is eating something high in sugar, such as sugary breakfast cereal. Breakfast can also enhance the efficiency of the body, making it easier for you to burn fat

6. While it is important to eat breakfast, it is equally important to issue a cautionary note. Some people think that they can eat breakfast and then skip the rest of their meals. This is not a healthy approach. Your body needs to eat regular meals in order to work effectively. Eat five or six smaller meals.

7. Eating breakfast is a habit, which means if you have not be eating breakfast for a while, it may be a difficult habit to get into. Persistence is the key to starting a healthy habit. Rather than trying to eat breakfast on the run, make sure you actually sit at the table and eat. Schedule time for breakfast and make it a priority in your life.

The residents of AY’s Crib are back in another episode tagged House Girl Wanted which has them going in search of a maid to take over from Mimi who can’t cook. The 20+ min episode has got a number of scenes that would crack you up even if you started watching the episode with a frown on your face.
In this episode, the residents embarked on the search for a house girl since Mimi can not cook. Mimi out of jealousy insisted on been the judge that will make the final selection, all thing been equal the search was fruitful and the house girl emerged. Watch the hilarious display of Ushbebe in this sitcom.
While AY started this show of his with enough heat to get uninterested parties watch out for it’s premiere, the comedian decided to halt posting the videos on YouTube which made a number of people lose interest in it. However with this new full episode from the show which he just posted,he just might win back many of those viewers.
Previous episodes of AY’s crib had little plots which the writers found a way to blow into a a full episode without boring the viewers and House Girl Wanted doesn’t miss the mark on that count as well.
Hopefully AY and his team can fix a particular day they want to post the subsequent episodes of this show or air it on a particular station to pull in more viewers. But until then you’d just have to make do with this episode inserted below.

Man Hands His ‘Boko Haram’ Son over to JTF

A Maiduguri based businessman (name is not disclosed for security reasons) on Thursday turned in his biological son, a member of Boko Haram, to the Joint Task Force, JTF, with an order that he should be shot dead, witnesses said.

The son, according to close family sources, had once threatened to kill his father before he fled home and returned only recently; as security operatives continue to clamp down on the sect me. He was said to have returned as a prodigal son, seeking asylum in his father’s compound.
“After confessing all his crimes including how he participated in the killing of people and looting of banks to his father, the old man said he has no such conscience to keep a killer son in his home,” said the family member under anonymity.
The 60-year old Kanuri man who lives in Babban-Line Commercial Area, Maiduguri, simply approached the Sector Office of the JTF and told them about his son.

Witnesses quoted him as saying, “This boy is my son; he is a confirmed member of Boko Haram and has killed many people, he too should be killed too.”
In a dramatic twist, as the young man attempted to flee from the soldiers to whom his father handed him over, he was shot at and struck down by a bullet. He later died. His father, who was yet to completely leave the scene simply turned around, looked at the writhing body of his son on the ground and said, “Masha Allah” meaning, “To God be the glory.”
Before he was handed over to the soldiers, the young man was said to have revealed to his father and family members that he possessed two cars and had millions of naira buried somewhere near his family home. But the father said he had no interest in the ill-gotten assets and has no intentions of inheriting them according to Islamic laws as they are ‘haram’.

'It hurts so much': Pregnant Kim Kardashian winces in pain as doctor tells her she may have appendicitis in preview for her show

She is just weeks away from welcoming her first child with Kanye West into the world. But Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy has been a bumpy ride at times.

Back in March, the reality star suffered a frightening health scare.
Kim looked heavily pregnant when out in Los Angeles on Wednesday

Kim is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kanye West

Scary stuff: The 32-year-old recognised how worrying it could be if she did have appendicitis

Ouch: Kim tells the medic that it hurts 'so much' when he presses a particular spot on her belly

Frightening: Kim Kardashian fears she has appendicitis in a preview for the next episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians

And in a newly released preview for an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, it has been revealed that doctors believed Kim might have appendicitis.

The 32-year-old visited the doctor after having severe stomach pains.
A bumpy ride: She is in her final stretch but Kim's pregnancy hasn't always been easy
Examined: Kim, who is due to give birth in a matter of weeks, has her burgeoning belly looked at by the doctor

She is seen sat on an exam table with a thermometer under her tongue as the medic delivers the worrying news that she could have appendicitis.

‘That got me anxious because of your blood count,’ he says. ‘This could be appendicitis.’
He no doubt worried Kim as he went on to explain the dangers that could come should they need to operate on her.
‘We really don’t want to operate on a pregnant woman because it has potential complications for the pregnancy,’ he said.

Painful: Kim is asked to show the doctor where it hurts the most and is seen wincing in pain

Ouch: Kim tells the medic that it hurts 'so much' when he presses a particular spot on her belly

But the doctor added: ‘If we really feel strongly that this could be appendicitis, then sometimes we have to operate.’
Kim told the camera: ‘Getting appendicitis while pregnant is not fun. It’s not easy, it’s going to be really tough to go through.’

The doctor is then seen examining Kim’s burgeoning belly and asks her to ‘show me where you think the pain is the worst.’

That's not very reassuring: The doctor told her of the dangers in operating on a pregnant woman
When Kim winces in pain, he asks her, ‘Does that hurt more?’ to which she replies, ‘Like so much.’
At the time, after Kim learned all was OK with her and her baby, she wrote on Twitter: 'Thanks for all the well wishes, I'm doing fine! Just resting...have a good weekend. Love you guys!'

The Confederations Cup Brazil 2013

cup hosts.....Brazil

THE 2013 Confederations Cup kicks off on samba Saturday in Brazil.

A curtain-raiser to the following summer’s World Cup, the tournament has become an opportunity for the organisers to tune up stadiums and for the players to get used to the conditions.

Brazil won the last Confederations Cup in South Africa in 2009 but Luiz Felipe Scolari’s team are struggling with yo-yoing form ahead of their own World Cup.

Before it all kicks off in Brasilia on Saturday night, SunSport have put together a tidy guide for you to keep up with the action.

Who's Playing?

Brazil — They qualified as hosts and they were the Confederations Cup winners in 2009 and 2005. Scolari’s squad have struggled for form over the last few years, but they recently swept France aside 3-0 in Porto Alegre, days after England secured a 2-2 draw.

Mexico — The Central American nation qualified by winning the Concacaf Gold Cup in 2011.

Italy — Qualified by being Euro 2012 finalists — as Spain won last year's tournament and were already world champions — Italy are invited.

Japan — Alberto Zaccheroni’s side are not the most high-profile squad in the tournament. But the 2011 AFC Asian Cup winners have a 23 wins, nine draws and five defeats during the Italian’s three year tenure.

Spain — Are undoubtedly the team to beat in Brazil. World champions and reigning European champions twice over. Barcelona’s form this season suggests that the core of the team are past their best, but they will still keep the ball so much better than anyone else.

Uruguay — The 2011 Copa America winners were one of the form sides at the World Cup and they will keep their electric front three of Luis Suarez, Diego Forlan and Edinson Cavani together.

Tahiti — So little is known of the 2012 OFC Nations Cup winners, but they had two friendlies against New Zealand in October, losing 2-0 and 3-0. Tahiti’s squad is composed mainly of amateurs and the tiny nation — population 178,000 — is keen on hosting the Beach Soccer World Cup.

Nigeria — West African powerhouse Nigeria surprised even themselves by winning this year’s African Cup of Nations in South Africa, maybe they will surprise a few favourites at the Confederations Cup.

WHO SHOULD WE LOOK OUT FOR?
EDINSON CAVANI - URUGUAY

SUPER STRIKER....Cavani
WHAT do you get when you combine the eye for goal of Alan Shearer with the swagger of Hernan Crespo? A goal-hunting machine, is what. No wonder Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid are so keen to sign the 26-year-old

Shingi Kagawa - Japan

SHI's THE ONE.....shinji kagawa
THE Japanese apologised to Manchester United fans for below-par performances this season, but other than an anonymous showing in the Bernebau, he played no small part in United’s sweeping of the Premier League last season, scoring six goals.

The 24-year-old is unquestionably Japan’s biggest star.

Neymar - Brazil

THUMBS UP.....Neymar
NEW Barcelona signing Neymar originally promised to stay at Santos until after the World Cup, but Barcelona just could not resist letting his stock go through the ceiling.

He still has a lot to prove at international level but this could be the perfect stage for the quick, skilful 21-year-old.

Juan Mata - Spain

POCKET GEM....Juan Mata
IT is so hard to pick from a Spain that do not rely on individuals, but two-time Chelsea player of the season has been so consistently excellent in the Premier League, there is no doubt he can step it up on the world stage.

Mario Balotelli - Italy

WHY ALWAYS HIM.....Mario Balotelli

VENUES
WE have already heard rumblings about Brazil's approach to the World Cup stadia being slow.

Remember, Brazil did not face any competition in being awarded the 2014 World Cup, so complacency has crept in, whilst the 2016 Olympic organisers are being praised for their haste.

The stadiums are typically South American in style and whilst they are not quite as stylish as South Africa or Germany, there is no question they will be filled by thousands of fans watching the local club teams long after the tournament finishes.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BRAZIL?
THE tournament will bring the most colourful fans in the world closer to that World Cup they have been craving.

If the atmosphere is right, this could show the world that Brazil is ready to host a massive festival of football, as much in the streets and on the beaches as in the grounds.

For us fans it is just an chance to oogle at the skills, the tactics, Spain's tiki-taka. Maybe a new talent will emerge ahead of next summer.

Just try and keep your eyes off the local ladies and on the football.

Man catches wife committing adultery

JOS – A middle aged housewife in Jos, the Plateau State capital is in trouble after she was caught in her matrimonial bed with another man by her husband.
The woman simply identified as Gloria was caught with a  neighbour,  a father of three who lives some houses away from the couple when the husband returned unexpectedly at their Rukuba Road residence.
The husband (names withheld) who sells clothes at the Old Bukuru Park was said to have barely left home for his business when his wife invited her man-friend, identified simply as George to come around as she was sick.
According to a neighbour who was with her when she made the call and begged to be anonymous, Gloria told the man friend to buy a pack of Don-Simon and a plate of pepper soup when coming.
The neighbour said: “She earlier complained of being ill. I heard her when we were sitting in front of the house telling the person on phone to bring a plate of pepper soup and a drink for her, although I never knew it was her man-friend.
“When he came they went out to the woman who sells pepper soup and bought the whole pot. She told me to help her take care of the kids because she had a visitor.”
Probably acting on a tip off, the husband returned home earlier than expected and caught her and her lover red handed.
According to the husband,  “I built a shop for her to sell provisions, so I went to the market to buy protectors to be fixed in the shop. I just came back to realize that the kids were outside and the door locked.
“When I knocked she refused to open the door. Some neighbors who saw her and the man told me she was in with somebody, so I raised alarm.
“Instead of her to open the door, she opened the ceiling for him to enter and hide. Fortunately, with time a lot of people gathered and an elderly man from my village, who saw what the incident would have resulted to called the police. She opened the door when the police came to the house, and the man friend came down from the ceiling wearing boxers. This marriage has come to an end.”
The man and the woman were taken away by the police for ‘safe custody’ and were later released on bail.
Also speaking with Vanguard the wife of the culprit said the rumor of her husband’s illicit affair with their neighbor had been on for some time.
“I have heard severally that my husband has been engaging in extra-marital affairs with this woman; I went to her house and told her to leave my husband alone, but she refused. God has finally disgraced her”, she said.
She added that she had asked her husband for money earlier that day but he claimed not to have money.
“I asked him for money because I felt sick, but he refused to give me saying he was broke”
