PDP Chief Accuses Alao-Akala of Anti-Party Activities

A Peoples Democratic Party stalwart in Oyo State, Alhaji Rasheed Adebisi, has urged the party leadership to caution former Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala against engaging in anti-party activities.
Adebisi accused the former governor of romancing with Accord Party, describing the relationship as “dangerous and unhealthy”.
He spoke to reporters in Ibadan on Tuesday.
He said, “Alao-Akala’s recent meeting with Senator Rashidi Ladoja and the inauguration of a committee by the two former governors is not PDP’s idea. The party in the state has no hand in the romance between Ladoja and his former deputy.
“Their move is self-serving and against the interest of the party. Alao-Akala cannot be meeting with Ladoja on behalf of PDP without the consent of the party executives and leaders in the state.
“I am using this medium to call on the PDP national headquarters to caution Alao-Akala because his act, if unchecked, is capable of derailing the peace which the party enjoys.
“Their romance will end in futility but we do not want Alao-Akala’s action to destabilise our party. We know Ladoja is not coming to PDP as being rumoured but only using Alao-Akala to cause disaffection in party.”
However, media aide to Alao-Akala, Mr. Abraham Ojo, has denied the allegation, saying his principal was a strong member of PDP and would not defect into AP.
Ojo said, “Alao-Akala is a force to reckon with in the PDP having contributed to the success of the party. Every step he is taking is in the interest of PDP.
“He has the interest of the party at heart. He has repeatedly said he has no plan to dump the party. He is not making move as alleged to destabilise the party, rather, he is making moves to better the lots of the PDP in the coming elections in the state.”
Meanwhile, the two former governors on Tuesday inaugurated a 10-man committee in Ibadan.
The committee is to work out modalities for reconciling aggrieved PDP members and dislodge the Action Congress of Nigeria administration in the state in 2015.
But the Action Congress of Nigeria in the state on Tuesday said the alliance between former governors was a show of desperation and sign that Ajimobi’s ratings had risen.
The ACN stated this in a statement by its state Publicity Secretary, Mr. Dauda Kolawole.
The statement read, “The gang-up has shown the political desperation of the two former governors and an admission of the fact that individually, they cannot face Ajimobi and the ACN in the 2015 elections.
“We are very happy about this gang-up. Wonders, indeed, can never end. That these two strange bedfellows, who fought a titanic battle to destroy each other could come together to fight Ajimobi shows that our governor is now an Iroko that these two gladiators needed to come together to fell.”

WAEC offers employment to wives of three employees killed by Boko Haram in Borno

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) on Tuesday in Lagos held a commendation service for three slain staff members, with a vow to keep alive their memories.
The staff members killed during the course of the recently-concluded 2013 May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), in Yola, were Peter Gwalasha (45), Boniface Emmanuel (45) and Daniel Alexander, whose age was not stated.
The Head of the WAEC National Office, Charles Eguridu, made the vow, saying that their labour would never be in vain.
The deceased worked at the WAEC Office in Yola, Adamawa, before they were murdered on April 19 by unknown gunmen near Damboa, Borno State.
The officers were said to be conveying to Maiduguri scripts of the May/June 2013 WASSCE belonging to candidates in Adamawa and Taraba when they were attacked by suspected Boko Haram members.
Mr. Eguridu expressed regret that the deceased were murdered while serving their country. He said their demise is an immense loss to the families of the deceased, in particular and the country, in general.
“I give God the glory that in spite of the challenges, threats, injuries and deaths, the May/June WASSCE in Nigeria has come to an end. The trauma that attended the conduct of this examination will forever remain indelible in our minds.
“The conduct of the examination was fraught with risks, pains and loss of lives, but it exposed the courage, dedication, determination and commitment of WAEC staff to go to any length to ensure that the Council discharges its mandate.
“I have witnessed for myself the dedication and passion of men and women who are willing to lay down their lives in the service of their nation.
“They paid the supreme sacrifice in the service of our country, their Labour will never be in vain and words cannot bring them back.“But the assurance that we have is that they are resting in the satisfaction that they have done their bit in service to God and country,” Mr. Eguridu said.
He announced that all the three wives of the deceased officers would be given automatic employment as members of staff of WAEC, with effect from July 1. He said this was one of the measures the Council had put in place to support the families the deceased left behind.
“May I use this opportunity to plead with you all to be vigilant and security conscious wherever you are, during the marking exercise.
“As the Almighty God watches over us, ensure that you order your steps and do not place your lives and the joy of your families in jeopardy,” he pleaded.
In his exhortation, the guest Pastor, Johnson Kalejaiye, the Regional Evangelist of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, prayed that God should continue to provide for the bereaved families and WAEC.
Mr. Kalejaiye noted that it was unfortunate that innocent and God-fearing people, who should have been celebrated for adding value to life, were brutally killed.
According to him, there is nothing a man of God can do now except to beseech God to uphold the families of the deceased and support them throughout their moment of grief.
Responding, Fibi Gwalasha commended the management and staff of the council for their support and urged them to keep the Council’s flag flying.
Mrs. Gwalasha said that the bullet-ridden remains of her husband and his colleagues were found 18 hours after their demise, noting that it was too tragic a scene to behold.“Perhaps, the most painful is that my husband left behind a five-day old baby, Alexander, who is still in hospital following an after-birth ailment.
“The spirit of these courageous gentlemen will only rest in peace if the Council is able to keep their memories alive,” she added.

Tecno Is Winning The Smartphone War In Nigeria

Techno P3
While Samsung has finally dethroned Nokia as the Word's largest phone vendor, it may have to engage in another battle for dominance in Nigeria; a country with the biggest Africa Smartphone market and powering millions of active mobile lines. Business News places the figure at over 110 million active telecom subscribers.

Nokia had earlier locked that region with the company selling overpriced phones but once Samsung introduced the Galaxy series running on the Android platform, it wasn't too long before a steep shift in the direction of Android smartphones became obvious and a subsequent decline in the overall market share of Nokia.

The South Korean company has not only dominated the Smartphone market share in Nigeria but it's TV series has also sold like hot-cakes. Now, the success story of Galaxy series has come under heavy treat by Techno; a Chinese company which has been doing a lot of things right in the last few years. Techno's new brand of smartphones have attracted a vast majority of Nigerian youths who are finding the phones much more affordable and having specifications similar to the Samsung Galaxy series. One major boost and what has swayed a lot of Nigerians to the Techno brands is that the smartphones being produced also runs on the Android platform.

Techno, while unveiling the P3 in Nigeria made a shocking revelation; the company was setting up a Plant in Nigeria, thus solidifying it presence in Africa's most populated country. The romance between the Chinese company and Nigeria can't get any better as the Plant would also provide jobs for thousands of unemployed Nigerians.

As part of efforts to further consolidate on it's foothold in Nigeria, Techno signed a partnership deal with one of Nigeria's largest networks, and has paid off with thousands of Techno smartphones arriving on the palms of Nigerians. Techno which was once know for it's sub-standard phones in Nigeria have done a major job in re-branding the company and placing it at a position where it can effectively complete with any mobile phone vendor which has it's presence in Nigeria. Price of course which happens to be very advantageous to Techno will play a major role in determining who wins in the long run.

Will Smith And Wife Jada 'Would Never Let Cruel Gossip Ruin Their Marriage'

Jada has blasted any divorce rumours, saying that she and Will are 'stronger than ever'

Jada Pinkett Smith and her hubby Will have found themselves at the centre of many a divorce rumour over the years, but Jada has said that despite reports suggesting that their 15 year marriage is 'on the rocks', the showbiz pair are actually stronger than ever.

Jada tells the July issue of Redbook that her and Will's bond is stronger than ever and despite her knowing couples whose marriage has been ruined by gossip, she doesn't think that this is the case at all for her and the Men In Black star.

"I have been affected by gossip and I know people who have been, too. I've seen marriages destroyed by gossip. It is cruel," Pinkett Smith, 41, says, before adding: "At the end of the day, all that matters is: Do you love what you see when you look in the mirror? That is it, baby."

Jada adds that her and her showbiz hubby trust each other and made those vows for life, saying: "What is the thing that Will could do to make me not love him? That would make me abandon him? I can't think of one. I'm sorry," the actress gushes.

Adding, "Except if he did something bad to the kids -- now we've got a problem."

And she also says that the key to any relationship is to find those special moments within your day to day activities: "We tend to find magic in the mundane," the actress tells Redbook.

"Picking Willow up from her girlfriend's house at 9:30 p.m., and enjoying that ride together, then stopping at 7-Eleven to get some ice cream as a family."

Too cute!

APC plans to shock Jonathan, PDP

Abuja- A recently-formed coalition of Nigeria’s opposition parties, the All Progressives Congress (APC), is confident of unseating President Goodluck Jonathan and ending the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the elections scheduled for 2015.

Senior officials said the re-election of Rotimi Ameachi as Chairman of the National Governors Forum (NGF) was among a series of surprises that will 'shock' Jonathan ahead of and beyond the election.

Governor of River State, Ameichi, who has been suspended by the ruling party, is opposed to Jonathan standing for re-election.

“If one look at the actions of the progressives, one will notice that we have been consistent for quite some time.

"With the cooperation of the progressive governors, Amaechi disgraced Jonathan, by winning the NGF election despite the federal might that was against him. Let it be clear to Nigerians that what happened at the NGF election is a dress rehearsal for 2015,” said APC spokesman Rotimi Fashakin.

He pledged the party’s support of Amaechi.

“The progressive parties will always do anything that will stop Jonathan from assuming an imperial status. We will continue to oppose Jonathan’s authoritarian tendencies.

"We support Amaechi because Jonathan’s intervention in the governors’ forum election was self-serving. As a progressive opposition party, our duty is to oppose that. So, we have no apology for that,” added Fashakin.

Formed in February this year, APC is the result of an alliance by Nigeria's four biggest opposition parties - the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

President Jonathan Approves Order Proscribing Boko Haram, Ansaru Members

President Jonathan
Below is a press statement by the president's Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Reuben Abati.

President Jonathan approves order proscribing Boko Haram and Ansaru members; supporters, collaborators now face prosecution under terrorism prevention act.
President Goodluck Jonathan has formally approved the proscription of Boko Haram and authorized the gazetting of an order declaring the group’s activities illegal and acts of terrorism.
The order which has been gazetted as the Terrorism (Prevention) (Proscription Order) Notice 2013 affects both Boko Haram (Jamaatu Ahlis-Sunna Liddaawati Wal Jihad) and another group – Jama’atu Ansarul  Muslimina Fi Biladis Sudan, was approved by President Jonathan pursuant  to section 2 0f the Terrorism Prevention Act, 2011 (As Amended).
It officially brings the activities of both groups within the purview of the Terrorism Prevention Act and any persons associated with the two groups can now be legally prosecuted and sentenced to penalties specified in the Act.

The proscription order warns the general public that any person “participating in any form of activities involving or concerning the collective intentions of the said groups will be violating the provisions of the Terrorism Prevention Act”.

Section 5 (1) of the act prescribes a term of imprisonment of not less than 20 years for any person who knowingly, in any manner, directly  or indirectly, solicits or renders support for the commission of an act of terrorism or to a terrorist group.

For the purposes of subsection (1) of section, "support" includes -
(a) incitement to commit a terrorist act through the internet, or any electronic means or through the use of printed materials or through the dissemination of terrorist information;
 (b) receipt or provision of material assistance, weapons including biological, chemical or nuclear weapons, explosives, training, transportation, false documentation or identification to terrorists or terrorist groups;
 (c) receipt or provision of information or moral assistance, including invitation to adhere to a terrorist or terrorist group;
 (d) entering or remaining in a country for the benefit of, or at the direction of or in association with a terrorist group; or
 (e) the provision of, or making available, such financial or other related services prohibited under this Act or as may be prescribed by regulations made pursuant to this Act.

Sick Man Goes To Doctors And He's Told That ‘He's A Woman’

Rare Case Hong Kong

A 66-YEAR-OLD man who went to the doctors with stomach ache got a shock - when he was told he was actually a WOMAN.

Stunned doctors realised the bearded patient was actually a woman when they found that the swollen belly was actually a large cyst on her ovary.

The subject suffered from two rare genetic disorders, one of which, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, increases male hormones meaning they had a beard and a "micropenis", the Hong Kong Medical Journal reported.

The other - Turner Syndrome - affects peoples X and Y chromosomes.

The patient, who grew up as an orphan, was found to have no testes, and stopped growing after puberty at the age of 10.

Seven doctors from Hong Kong where the man lived wrote in the study: "Were it not due to the huge ovarian cyst, his intriguing medical condition might never have been exposed."

The doctors said there have been only six cases where both genetic disorders have been reported in medical literature. Turner Syndrome on its own affects only one in 2,500 to 3,000 females.

The Vietnam-born Chinese patient decided to continue "perceiving himself as having a male gender with the possible need of testosterone replacement."

Most men have a X and a Y chromosome and most women have a pair of X chromosomes.

People with Turner Syndrome tend to have only one X chromosome or are missing part of their second X chromosome.

Wanted: Catch Shekau, Boko Haram leader get N1.1bn – US

The United States has officially declared the leader of the extremist Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, wanted and placed a $7m bounty on his head.
In an announcement Monday, the U.S. Department of Justice Reward for Justice Programme says it would pay $7 million to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the Boko Haram leader.
Also declared wanted are four other alleged terrorists believed to be spreading terrorism in the West African sub-region.
They include Mokhtar Belmokhtar, described as a one-eyed mastermind of the January deadly attack on a gas plant in Algeria, which left 37 foreigners dead. Authorities say anyone who could help facilitate his capture stands a chance of reaping $5.
A $5 million bounty was also placed on Yahya Abou Al-Hammam an alleged terrorist believed to be behind the 2010 murder of an elderly French hostage in Niger.
Also being sought are Malik Abou Abdelkarim, described as a senior AQIM fighter and Oumar Ould Hamaha, spokesman for Mali’s Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO). America says it will pay $3 million each to anyone who could help facilitate their arrests.
The U.S. had on June 21, 2012, designated Mr. Shekau, the Boko Haram leader, a Specially Designated Global Terrorist, under Executive Order 13224.
Mr. Shekau’s whereabouts have however remained unknown.
Last week, he released a video calling on other terrorists in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq to support the struggle to enthrone an Islamic state in Nigeria.
Below is a full text of the release declaring Mr. Shekau wanted.

Abubakar Shekau is the leader of Jama’atu Ahl as-Sunnah il-Da’awati wal-Jihad, more commonly known as Boko Haram. Boko Haram, which means “Western education is forbidden,” is a Nigeria-based terrorist organization that seeks to overthrow the current Nigerian government and replace it with a regime based on Islamic law. The group has existed in various forms since the late 1990s. There are reported communications, training, and weapons links between Boko Haram, al-Qaida in the Lands of the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), al-Shabaab, and al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, which may strengthen Boko Haram’s capacity to conduct terrorist attacks.
Shekau was previously the group’s second-in-command. In July 2010, Shekau publicly claimed leadership of Boko Haram and threatened to attack Western interests in Nigeria. Later that month, Shekau issued a second statement expressing solidarity with al-Qaida and threatening the United States. Under Shekau’s leadership, Boko Haram’s operational capabilities have grown.
The group set off its first vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (IED) in June 2011, and has increasingly utilized IEDs in attacks against soft targets. Boko Haram’s August 26, 2011 vehicle-bomb attack on the United Nations headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria marked the group’s first lethal operation against Western interests. At least 23 people were killed, and 80 more were injured, in the attack. A purported Boko Haram spokesman claimed responsibility for the attack and promised future targeting of U.S. and Nigerian government interests.
On May 1, 2012, less than one week after the group bombed a Nigerian newspaper building in Abuja, Boko Haram issued a video statement threatening more attacks on local and international news outlets, including the Voice of America and Sahara Reporters, a New York-based media service.
On June 21, 2012, the U.S. Department of State designated Shekau a Specially Designated Global Terrorist under Executive Order 13224.

Justin Bieber - Am not the father of the child. 'The baby aint mine'

JUSTIN BIEBER has spoken out to crush rumors that he is the father of a child currently running amok “somewhere in Europe”.

US magazines had reported that The Bieb had fathered the child but was shirking his responsibilities, instead spending his time riding round his vast Californian estate in fast cars and pulling up his wayward pants.

But Justin – who barely looks old enough to buy Sunny Delight let alone father a child – quashed the rumors via a tweet to his friend, the rapper Tyler, The Creator (don’t forget the comma).

“The baby ain’t mine.”

That’s sorted that, then.

PHOTO - Woman Orders Carpentar To Carve Over 100 Wooden Dildos For Her In Abuja

You need to see these wooden dildos upclose.

One of my readers (God bless him) sent me these pictures.

He had seen them at a carpenter's shop and taken pictures when the carpenter wasn't looking. He says while he was chatting with the carpenter about the dildos, the carpenter told him he had been asked to produce them by one of his female customers.

He actually gets the contract once a year and he isn't told what the dildos are for.

Can you guess how these dildos will be used?

Love's Pain - Part 1

“I’ll never let you go, oh noooo,” sings Faith Evans, “Every day I thank the Lord for you, I feel so blessed”. I remember vividly that was the song Lolu and I danced to on our wedding day. “I wished upon a star and it came true” I sing as tears start to find their way down my face. How could I possibly hurt the man who made all my dreams come true? If I chose to confess, I would have peace of mind but my marriage would be shattered. We were happy, we WERE happy, WE WERE HAPPY, I think as the thoughts are now stained by a reminder of my sins and lies.

I met Lolu in the most romantic way ever; I was visiting my friend in Florida for the weekend as I was planning a surprise party for her birthday. After the long flight, I was taking a cab at from the airport but was holding up the line because the cab driver was asking me how to get my destination after I had provided him with the address. “How should I know, isn’t that your job?” I snapped, my anger making my phone slip away and my naija accent manifest.

Lolu was the third person behind me waiting in line amongst the now angry mob of people who just wanted to peacefully grab a cab.

I pick up my phone and dialled Chike, “I don’t know for the man, abeg talk to him and explain to him”.

While the cab driver is busy on the phone with Chike, asking foolish questions, Lolu steps forward, “Hi, let me save you from your stress, I’ve visited Florida several times, enough to know that where you’re going is on my way”, he smiles “Please let me take you there to avoid these people from stoning you to death in their minds” I raise my eyebrow and was about to speak when..

“Oh my name is Lolu by the way but we can exchange pleasantries on the way, so are you down?” The cab driver is still there being a mumu on the phone, I grabbed my phone from him with a face that could melt the ice on Mouth Kilimanjaro and say to Chike “I have found someone to direct the cab man; I will see you soon, ok bye”. I get into the cab and he starts telling him what way to go.

While I am there admiring this 6’4 man with his sexy caramel skin, goatee and bald head, I didn’t know he had asked me for my name twice that I quickly snapped out of my trance and answered “Joju, Oluwajomiloju.”

“Pretty name,” he says but I slip back into my trance. Eventually the conversation picked up and I was very confident that he would ask me for my number before he went on his way, blame it on my over confidence pretty girl swag. We pull up to my supposed friend’s apartment and I call him to come down to make sure that I was not about to be someone’s blood money human parts.

Keep in mind that this is my friend’s boyfriend BTW, we just happen to be planning a surprise birthday party for her that evening and I was late that’s why I didn’t head to the hotel straight away. Chike comes down and hugs me, thanks Lolu and they chat for about 20 seconds and he says bye, nice to meet you blah blah blah without asking me for my number. The diva in me is banging her head against an invisible wall and I am thinking to myself what happened here?

The weekend was very awesome, pleasant and all sorts of fun, I hadn’t thought about my sexy mc bald head. It’s Sunday evening and I am back at the same airport heading back to my lovely city of Boston. Guess who I see again, Lolu is seated there with his earphones on and doing something that seemed interesting on his phone. My first reaction was to go and say hi but here comes diva me saying “this guy dissed you oh, what is wrong with you that he didn’t ask for your number”. I forcefully remove the diva from my mind; she can be quite evil sometimes. I walk over and say hi and he is just as surprised.

“Hey what’s up?” I say
“Joju, How far now? Funny I am running into you again.”
“I know right, how was your trip?”
“It was fun, I was here for a wedding, it was very nice I guess, you know guys now we don’t pay too much attention to all those things that make a wedding “beautiful”, he says and does the air quotes.

I laugh and we ended up sitting next to each other since Southwest Airlines does not give you assigned seats. We talk and talk the whole trip back to Boston. I find out he lives in Boston as well, we talk about our jobs, family, secondary school, college, life but somehow the talk of being single or not never came up. I felt like I was threading on a thin thread here, my mind started to make assumptions. Maybe he just got out of a relationship or maybe he’s not just ready or maybe he’s not into relationships, maybe maybe, maybe.

Sigh, the things I do sometimes with this over complicated mind of mine. Sha Sha we arrive at Boston, get our luggage and this man is about to tell me bye bye sha, just like that. So me self with my pride, I gently pull my luggage and start heading towards the cabs since his friend was picking him up. I’m waiting for the cab, listening to my favorite Faith Evans album and someone taps me on the shoulder.

“Are you dating the guy I dropped you off at his house?”

My eyes widen and I actually start to laugh out loud. “No oh, that’s my friend Jite’s boyfriend oh, we were planning her surprise birthday that’s why I went over there”.

I could see the relief in his eyes and he said “Ok, I want to take you out, please give me your number.”

I go “Ehen forreal, that’s why you didn't ask me since abi, nawa oh but it's 6-1-7-5-8-9-1-2-5-9”

That was the beginning of our love and now 13 years later, married with 3 children, the love has neither fled from our house nor have we lost it. Lolu was a loving husband, loving father, friend, son, brother, uncle to his sister’s kids, everything any woman in her right mind wants but this one mistake from 6 years ago never seems to be far from my mind. Since when I found out I was pregnant with my last child Oluwafitunmise, I have always doubted if the baby was his because of one passionate night in Malaysia. As her name suggest, God did use her to “fix’ me and I have never wandered again but can I really confess to my loving husband that there is a possibility that our child, his favorite baby is not his?

Baby Sold on Facebook

A businessman in India was recently caught as he attempted to buy a stolen baby on Facebook.

The man paid 800,000 rupes, or approximately $14,749, for the child. The kidnapped baby was being sold because of actions taken by the newborn’s grandfather.
According to local authorities, Feroz Khan kidnapped his grandson from the boy’s mom in Ludhiana, Punjab, India The grandfather told his daughter that her child was stillborn. The grandfather then sold the baby to a nurse who sold the child to a lab technician.

That lab technician, Gurpreet Singh, followed up the kidnapping by posting a picture of the 3-day-old boy on Facebook. Eventually, businessman Amit Kumar offered to purchase the newborn.

The baby’s mother became suspicious when her father gave her some of the cash from the sale.
Shortly after realizing what had happened, police tracked down and arrested Khan, his accomplice, and both of the hospital employees who initially purchased the newborn child.

Kumar is also facing charges for his part in the purchase of the kidnapped baby.

According to police, Khan sold the baby because he wanted to arrange a second marriage for his daughter. The girl’s dad believed she would not find a new husband if she was already raising a child. The child’s father abandoned his family before the birth.

Khan and the two hospital employees could face up to seven years in prison if found guilty.
Sadly, this is not the first time we have reported on a child being sold on Facebook. As previously stated, a mom in the United States tried to sell her two children for a measly $4,000.

Facebook actively monitors its network for illegal activities and routinely reports those activities to local police.

Don Jazzy V. Dbanj: Who Has Benefited The Most?

After the split, the two took two very distinct career moves. Dbanj choosing to focus on internationalizing his band and name by breaking into the US and UK markets through Kayne West and the success of Oliver Twist, and Don Jazzy choosing to re-brand him self and his company into Mavin Records and promote former Mo Hits stars now that Dbanj wasn't there to take top priority such as D'Prince and Wande Coal as well as the new addition, Tiwa Savage.

Question is, who has found more success in their independent endeavors?
